Quantum Joking

Being a sceptic, I’ve sometimes been accused by woo mongers of having no sense of humour. Just to prove that claim is false, I would like to share with you the funniest physics joke I’ve heard in months. Here we go:

Erwin Shrodinger was driving his car along a highway one day when he was pulled over by the police.

The police officer spoke briefly to the physicist as he checked his driving licence and other details.

He was a a bit suspicious, however, and decided to do some further checking – going around the car, looking underneath, and examining the back seats. He went to the rear of the car,  opened the boot, closed it and returned to the driver. He gave Shrodinger a stern look and said, “There’s a dead cat in the boot.”

Shrodinger replied, “There is now.”
